What We Do

We are an interior design firm based in the San Francisco Bay Area, specializing in residential homes.

At Honne Homes, we’re interested in the inner and interior in all its forms. Our homes are intimate and physical expressions of our families, values and daily habits. A well designed home is not only beautiful, it allows you to live fully.

Homes are large investments, and deciding what to invest in can be overwhelming. We help you navigate these decisions with expertise on construction costs and material finishes so you can make intentional choices in redesigning your home. Our guiding principle is that when you fully understand the details, you can create simple solutions. We start by learning your details to find the beautiful, functional and practical solutions that are simply right for you.

Our Design Principles

Honor the space

Work with the existing architecture or history.
It’s not about squeezing in as much as possible.

Seek less to do more

We believe in purposeful pieces.
Moments of quiet can be exceptionally loud.

Beauty in imperfection

Incorporate nature: wood, stone, plants.
Lived in, loved and with patina.

Classically inclined

Timeless materials and finishes never looks dated.
Neutral palette with considered color.

Our Values

Intentional

We will work together to set intentions for your space. How do you live? What do you need your home to do for you? What is the flow of your daily movement and life? What do you hope to change visually, functionally or energetically? What serves you and makes you happy in a space?

Beautiful

For us, beauty is a reminder there’s more to life than work and an opportunity to connect to mindfulness. Similar to being in nature, it can connect us to the higher order of the world. In your home, we’ll build beautiful moments to help you pause, feel inspired and release the pressures of life.

Detailed

A plan only works if it can be executed, and when it comes to construction that means thinking through details. Material transitions, what’s hidden behind the walls, and coordinating design, ordering and lead times for efficiency. A well designed space has form and function in harmony — and a well managed process balances practicality and execution.
